Unity Power Engineers is a dedicated Electrical Engineering design and consulting firm based in Hamilton NSW providing a range of engineering technical services to the heavy industrial, utilities, mining, and renewables sectors across Australia.
Unity is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team and be a part of a small business offering high-quality Electrical Engineering solutions.
The Role
Full time Monday – Friday (40hrs/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project execution from concept through to commissioning
- Design and review electrical infrastructure for transmission, distribution, and generation projects.
- Develop technical specifications, reports, and drawings using industry-standard tools
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Lead power system studies including load flow, fault analysis, protection coordination, and stability assessments.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and project success.
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field
- Strong knowledge of standards (IEEE, IEC, AS/NZS), NER, and utility requirements.
- Strong knowledge in tools like AutoCAD and PTW
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
