From the workshop to onsite, fabrication & maintenance is what we do Not only do we cut artwork from steel, machine components, and laser cut steel plate. We fabricate for our customers needs. With our large range of equipment (including a fully equipped CNC Machine Shop), (CNC Laser), (Break press), and a range of welding machines. Tig, Mig, & stick. We can fabricate just about anything our customers need. From maintenance on conveyors, to fabrication of steel structures & platforms. Also installing them on-site. Most jobs undertaken are seen through till the end. Breakdown callouts. Min 4hrs plus travel. On-call allowances.Money to be made..
We are looking to recruit a trade qualified Fitter & Turner, to join our friendly and growing team on a permanent basis.
115k - 120k Base earnings. Plus, Lots of overtime.

THE ROLE
The Fitter will work both in our workshop in Parkridge, and on Customer sites in the local area, with occasional travel to Brisbane outer areas. Mackay Tooling's normal business hours are 6am – 2:30pm (40 hours a week) but hours can be flexible for the right candidate and when required by the business.
Key responsibilities include:
· Onsite maintenance of machines/conveyors. (Bearings rollers. Fault finding)
· Breakdown repairs and planned shutdowns.
. Reading and interpreting assembly drawings, and specifications.
· Operating various tools, machines, and equipment
· Machine installations and repairs
· Ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications
