Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Connection Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children in out-of-home care.
* This role will involve engaging with families, identifying strengths and capacities, researching extended family networks, and activating support systems to strengthen relationships between parents, caregivers, siblings, grandparents, aunties/uncles/cousins).
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds; be empathetic towards traumatic experiences affecting families & carers across generations;• Building trust-based relationships, connecting people through culturally safe approaches by delivering
relationship-focused service strategies that promote wellbeing ⚡ personal growth.
• Maintain strict confidentiality
· Foster open dialogue around needs or concerns enabling effective decision-making,
prioritizing best interest of child at all times.
