Education Support Role
This position is an opportunity to work in a small, rural school environment supporting educational services for students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting teachers with student routines planning
* Communicating between teachers and parents, ensuring effective collaboration
* Reporting routine matters related to students and/or responsibilities to teachers
* Providing basic care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting assistance
* Supporting student comprehension of tasks and information through communication
* Addressing immediate student behavioural presentations within a classroom setting, aligned with school policy and procedure
* Supervising individuals or groups of up to 4 students in a classroom setting
* Coordinating educational programs independently or under minimal supervision with teachers
* Providing medical intervention support to students under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance
* Offering specialised communication support for students and teachers in areas such as Auslan and braille
Qualifications and Skills:
* Prior experience working with students in an educational setting
* Suitable physical fitness level for assisting students
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
