Responsibilities
* Ensuring compliance with Thales HSE systems, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
* Inspecting, auditing, and monitoring construction sites to mitigate risks and uphold safety protocols.
* Coaching leaders and teams to foster a risk-focused HSE culture—from management to operational levels.
* Leading incident investigations, hazard reporting, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Supporting environmental sustainability through waste management, chemical handling, and EMS compliance.
* Collaborating with regulatory agencies and maintaining meticulous records for audits and permits.
Qualifications
* First experience in HSE advisory roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or high-risk industries.
* A good understanding of State/Federal WHS legislation, Safety Management Systems, and injury/incident management.
* Certificate IV/Diploma in Work Health & Safety (highly desirable).
* Strong coaching, auditing, and stakeholder engagement abilities with a proactive, solutions‐driven mindset.
* Ability to work site based.

Clearance Requirements
A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
The U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
