Preferred locations are Sydney or Newcastle, although there is the potential for this role to be based in other parts of NSW as well. The Role As Practice Leader – Ecology, you will lead our talented ecology team, delivering meaningful environmental outcomes for clients while guiding the team's strategic and commercial growth. This is a hands-on role, where you will lead, mentor and inspire a team of ecological professionals. You will develop and implement business development and growth strategies, drive delivery of significant projects and multidisciplinary programs, provide high-level ecological expertise, reporting, and advisory support, engage with clients, regulators and community stakeholders to communicate science and deliver value, and collaborate across RPS teams to capitalise on inter-disciplinary opportunities. Responsibilities
* Lead our ecology team and guide strategic and commercial growth.
* Develop and implement business development and growth strategies.
* Drive delivery of significant projects and multidisciplinary programs.
* Provide high-level ecological expertise, reporting, and advisory support.
* Engage with clients, regulators and community stakeholders to communicate science and deliver value.
* Collaborate across RPS teams to capitalise on inter-disciplinary opportunities.
What You'll Bring
* A degree in ecology, environmental science or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in ecological consulting, project delivery and team leadership.
* Proven experience in managing technical projects and professional services teams.
* Strong commercial acumen, with a track record in business development and client engagement.
* Ability to navigate complexity, solve problems and deliver innovative, commercially viable solutions.
