About the Role This leadership position is ideal for someone with strong landscape construction experience and the confidence to manage small on-site teams. The role blends planning, coordination, and hands-on work with tools and materials. There's also a clear pathway to progress into quoting, client liaison, and staff development responsibilities. About the Work Our client specialises in designing and constructing small residential gardens, with most projects located throughout Sydney's Inner West. Services offered include: Paving Timber and stone work Decking and block construction Irrigation and drainage Planting, turfing, and other softscape installations Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a small on-site team, including apprentices and labourers Plan and coordinate daily site tasks to ensure efficient project delivery Interpret and work from detailed landscape plans and specifications Operate a wide range of landscaping tools and machinery safely and effectively Organise supplies, manage deliveries, and liaise with suppliers as required Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with all OHS regulations Requirements Must have a Certificate in landscape construction Proven experience as a Leading Hand or in a similar supervisory role Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical plans Solid understanding of construction methods, standards, and safety regulations Current driver's licence Hold a white card Full Australian working rights Benefits Full-time role with flexibility around hours Company vehicle, tools, and uniform provided Excellent team culture Clear career progression with opportunities to step into quoting, training, and supplier/client relationship management About the Company Our client is a boutique landscape construction and garden maintenance company based in Marrickville.
