**About Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO)**
ASBFEO is an independent federal statutory body that partners with the Treasury for back of office services. As with all Government staff, all ASBFEO staff are required to adhere to the values and conduct of the Australian Public Service (APS).

**About the role**
We are looking for a creative, strategic and innovative communications professional to be our Social Media and Web Officer to support the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman's mission "to make Australia the best place to start, grow and transform a business".
The Social Media and Web Officer will produce, publish and review social and other digital media content through relevant social and digital media platforms, and contributing to meeting communications and engagement objectives. You will also contribute to the development of a range of external communications products, including e-newsletters, web content, video content, and printed materials.
The role is part of a multi-discipline communications and media team, requiring collaboration to achieve success. The team works closely with data, assistance and policy teams, to ensure positive outcomes for the small business sector.
**Duties**
Contribute to the success of the communications and media team
- Develop and deliver multi-discipline communication strategies and plans
- Collaborate with and contribute to cross-team activities to support the timely delivery of projects
- Support team priorities through preparation and distribution of communication assets.
Social and digital media channel management
- Activate and oversee social and digital media channels to pursue communications objectives
- Manage social and digital media presence, including social and digital media activities into strategies, drafting of copy and assets, implementation, and social and digital media monitoring
- Contribute to and the development of social media policy, strategy, risk management strategies, and content calendars (both organic and paid)
- Identify emerging trends, analyse and review complex social and digital media analytics to inform future content creation, and make recommendations on ways to improve their effectiveness
- Review existing social and digital media products, and as needed, research and identify alternative products (including development of proposals), that improve productivity and effectiveness of activities
- Participate in media stand-ups and advise Ombudsman on social and digital media priorities, trends, and outcomes of social and digital media campaigns.
Social and digital media marketing
- Utilise Google Ads and AdWords, Meta and LinkedIn Business suites to facilitate impactful engagement across varied platforms and stakeholders
- Evaluate and recommend social media expenditure for communication strategies and activities
- Produce reach and impact reporting for social media engagement to support and guide platform selection, engagement avenues and content
- Utilise social and digital media products to target and grow audiences in a cost-effective manner
- Recognise opportunities in the Ombudsman's work program and agencies BAU activities to capture and utilise potential content, including Assistance success stories and Advocacy policy stakeholder and engagements activities.
Web publishing
- Updating ASBFEO's websites as directed, using a variety of tools and technology
- Provide detailed analytics of page and site performance
- Follow departmental, government and industry best-practices for publishing and content management
- Commission and work with external ICT and digital service providers, to improve and update websites as needed
- Be able to write for the web and interpret complex technical information.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Significant experience in simultaneously using social and digital media platforms, content management systems and other products (specifically social media platforms and tools, Drupal, Monsido, Swift Digital, Dynamics, Sharepoint, Streem and Medianet)
- Tert
