About This Role
This is a leadership position working within a multidisciplinary team to build client relationships and grow GHD's resources market across Western and Southern Australia. You will work on a diverse range of clients and projects within the resources sector, ensuring ongoing success in relation to key metrics and desired business goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Develop strategic plans for the resources market sector in line with our Australian market strategy
2. Lead proactive business development and client-focused activities, maintaining strong relationships, monitoring the market, and driving growth
3. Collaborate with senior management to deliver iconic projects as Project Director, coach staff to increase business development capability, and enhance client connectivity
You will require relevant tertiary qualifications in mining planning, engineering, or related disciplines, along with minimum 15 years' experience in business development tasks for a service company. A strategic, client-centric approach to working, strong industry relationships, and well-developed communication skills are essential for success in this role.

* Recognised experience in the WA and/or SA Resources sector and strong industry relationships
* A strategic, client-centric approach to working, with a strong network of contacts and clients, ideally within the WA and/or SA resources sector, with proven success in growing related project portfolios
* Well-developed communication skills, influencing ability, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making ability
