About the Role
As an Apprentice Wood Machinist, you will learn to operate and maintain a variety of woodworking machinery and equipment. Under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, you'll gain hands‑on experience and formal training in:
* Operating CNC machines, panel saws, edge‑banders, and other woodworking equipment
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
* Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and timber‑based products
* Following WHS procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
This is a full‑time apprenticeship opportunity, combining on‑the‑job training with TAFE study to earn a nationally recognised trade qualification.
What We're Looking For
* A genuine interest in woodworking and a long‑term career in the trade
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
* Good attention to detail and basic math skillsi>
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)
* 2nd, 3rd and 4th year apprentices will be considered
