The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications from a Senior Occupational Therapist, Senior Psychologist, Senior Social Worker, or Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The multicultural mental health coordinator program is a state‐wide program that is closely integrated with the Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Multicultural Mental Health Coordinators are employed by local mental health services and respond to the needs of consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds at a local level.
This role involves the facilitation of culturally responsive mental health care to clients and their families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds by developing strategies to build the capacity of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS).

Staff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team work within a multi‐disciplinary team framework to deliver high quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. They work collaboratively with each other, with consumers, their families/carers and external service providers.
About our Hospital and Health Service
Our district has 6 hospitals, 2 multi‐purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. It covers an area of approximately 90,000 km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
