About the Role
BUMA Australia's Goonyella fleet includes:
* Komatsu 930-E trucks
* CAT 793 trucks
* CAT D10 & D11 dozers
* CAT 18M & 24M graders
* Liebherr R9800 excavators
* Hitachi 5600 & 3600 excavators
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day leadership, guidance and support to your crew.
* Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across all equipment on site.
* Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on heavy mining equipment when required.
* Foster a positive, team‑focused culture by mentoring and developing crew members.
* Gain experience and exposure to prepare for future supervisory opportunities within BUMA.
About You
* Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter, Auto Electrician, HV Electrician or Boilermaker trade certificate (or equivalent).
* Proven leading hand / supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and support maintenance crews.
* Current G1, G8, G9 (S1, S2, S3) and G2 certificates.
Working at BUMA
* Annualised weekly pay.
* Permanent, full‑time position.
* 7/7 rotating day and night roster, with a shorter last day to assist with travel home (12.33hrs & 10hrs on last day).

Goonyella
Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA's Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.
BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre‑strip operations.
