IPD is seeking a strategic, and people-focused Sales Manager to take ownership of our Industry business across Queensland. Based in Brisbane, this full-time role reports directly to the General Manager – Industry and plays a key role in shaping regional performance and growth.
As Sales Manager, you will own the performance, growth, and profitability across Queensland. You will lead, coach, and inspire a dedicated sales team while also managing your own customer portfolio. This is a hands‐on leadership role that blends strategy with execution, ensuring both you and your team consistently exceed targets.
About the role:
This role will be accountable for delivering strong sales results, expanding market share, and ensuring sustainable, profitable growth in your region.
* Driving the Industry Business in Queensland, including developing and executing sales plans with action steps and monthly progress reporting
* Managing your own customer portfolio, balancing field engagement and back‐office activities while achieving sales, margin, and profitability targets
* Building deep market knowledge across key channels (End Users, OEMs, System Integrators, Contractors, Resellers, Consultants) and leveraging opportunities across all products and solutions
* Leading, coaching, and supporting the sales team to achieve individual and team targets while developing capability and performance
* Maintaining strong product knowledge and ensuring marketing and technical information is shared effectively with the team
* Ensuring excellent customer service, strengthening relationships, and enhancing the IPD brand
* Overseeing pricing, contracts, and CRM usage to maintain accurate records, pipeline management, and territory coverage
* Coordinating customer visits with Product Managers, Specialists, and Business Development teams, and sharing market insights with leadership
* Leading regional sales meetings, one‐on‐one performance discussions, and ensuring timely submission of expense claims
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
* Qualifications in Industrial Electrical, Engineering and Sales management is advantageous
* Proven experience in Automation and Control and B2B Sales Management
* Strong understanding of the contract and tendering processes
* High level of written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated competency in managing KPI's, margins and sales figures
* Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
* Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills
* Willingness and ability to travel to meet clients
