The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) is working on the improvement and enhancement of the current One Identity Manager solution through the deployment of additional services and capabilities. DAFF is seeking a Senior OneID Application and Systems Developer who will engage closely with business stakeholders, architects and the support functions. They will also confirm and deliver requirements, design, configuration, build and test of the agreed outcomes, and together with support, technical change management and business change manage, deploy enhanced services.
Examples of work to be undertaken by this role includes:
* RBAC enhancements
* Enhancements to the management of machine accounts
* Expansion of system integrations to increase account and access management footprint
Key Responsibilities
* Application Development:
o Develop in-product customisations including value templates, condition scripts, and process tasks using VB.NET within the One Identity Manager environment.
o Build and maintain custom web portal interfaces and UI extensions using Angular and TypeScript.
o Design and implement integrations between One Identity Manager and external systems using .NET (C# or VB.NET), APIs, and web services.
o Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure code to support business operations.
* Technical Expertise:
o Architect and implement advanced identity lifecycle management processes, role-based access control (RBAC), and provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
o Create complex reports, dashboards, and visualisations in the One Identity Manager environment.
o Ensure solutions align with security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
* Leadership and Collaboration:
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse and document Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) requirements.
o Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and technical challenges.
o Work closely with IT teams to ensure alignment and coordination across enterprise systems.
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated knowledge of the One Identity Manager platform including its architecture, object model, configuration, and identity lifecycle capabilities.
* Application development and integration experience within an Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform, including customisation, connector development, and integration with enterprise systems such as HR platforms, Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange.
* Understanding of IAM security governance, including segregation of duties, privileged access management, access certification, audit and compliance reporting, and alignment with government security frameworks such as the ISM, PSPF, and the ASD Essential Eight.
* Demonstrated ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders to analyse requirements, produce IGA solution designs, and manage structured delivery of enhancements within an existing enterprise IGA environment, including design documentation, testing, and managed change into production.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams, mentor less experienced IGA specialists, and actively transfer IGA knowledge to uplift internal team capability. This includes contribution to documentation, design artefacts, and shared understanding of the platform
