This extended‑skills position plays a key role in shaping high‑quality nursing practice within the paediatric critical care environment. The CNS2 – Clinical Support Education will contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of clinical education strategies, providing both formal and informal education that enhances professional growth. The role supports individual staff assessments, education, ongoing development reviews, and the application of adult learning principles to foster a positive, supportive and education‑focused culture. The Successful applicant will bring clinical knowledge and demonstrated expertise within Emergency nursing practice and a commitment to excellence in patient care and staff development. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the relevant clinical area of their post-registration qualification.
* Demonstrated evidence of advanced clinical practice in the specialty area.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem solving capabilities; able to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong commitment to contribute to own and team professional development and act as a resource person and to mentor others within the specialty where required.
* Demonstrated evidence of contribution to the development of clinical practice relevant to paediatrics.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice and service delivery.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise professional knowledge and judgment in providing complex care requirements of patients/clients in the specialty field.
