You have the power to shape things and individuals to make them better.**About the Role**In this multi‐site leadership position, you will be part of Alcoa's Non‐Process and Infrastructure team, providing enterprise‐level technical process leadership across the integrated residue, tailings and water systems at our Wagerup and Pinjarra refineries.You will apply deep knowledge of how process flows connect the operating plant with residue areas, including alkaline water balances, storage capacity considerations, performance of super thickeners, sand plant behaviour and the chemistry that underpins residue primary focus is on understanding and optimising these interconnected systems so they operate safely, reliably and sustainably. While you will also lead the Geotechnical and Civil Engineering team, the core of this role is owning the broader process‐to‐residue system performance that supports production outcomes, long‐term capacity and regulatory compliance.**Key Responsibilities**You will* Be responsible as the technical authority for tailings, residue and water systems, ensuring compliance with GISTM, licence conditions and internal standards.* Own and maintain integrated tailings and water balance models to support capacity assessments, contingency planning and production optimisation.* Lead the 5 Year Tailings, Residue & Water Plan for both sites, aligning with production forecasts, capital strategies and master plans.* Provide front end technical leadership for major capital, remediation, expansion and water infrastructure projects.* Lead and develop a high performing Process Technical, Geotechnical and Civil Engineering team, providing clear governance, coaching and cross site alignment.* Oversee TSF integrity, deposition strategies, embankment performance, seepage management and surveillance programs.**What's on offer*** A competitive total rewards package designed to recognise your impact.* Opportunities to grow a meaningful, long‐term career within a globally respected organisation.* Support to explore and develop the areas of work you are most passionate about.* Clear pathways for continuous professional development and progression.* The chance to contribute to a global leader committed to sustainability and operational excellence.**What you can bring to the role*** Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Metallurgical, or Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with a strong water/process focus; postgraduate qualifications desirable.* Extensive experience in refinery, minerals processing, tailings or residue systems (typically 10–15+ years).* Demonstrated capability in tailings and water governance, process optimisation, and geotechnical/civil design and assurance.* Proven success in multisite leadership, medium‐ to long‐term technical planning, and influencing capital and operational strategy.**Additional information*** Interviews may progress prior to the closing date, although all applications will be considered.* You will only be contacted if you are shortlisted for an interview, this process can take up to four weeks from the closing date.#LI-BS01 #AlcoaAUS**About the Location**As one of the world's largest alumina refineries, our Alcoa Pinjarra Refinery produces approximately 4.7 million metric tons each year.
