Position Overview: Blue Hill International Pty Ltd T/A IGA Express - Blue Hill International Pty Ltd T/A IGA Express operates IGA X-Press Kurrajong Heights, a local grocery and convenience retail store serving the Kurrajong Heights community. The store provides everyday grocery essentials and customer-focused retail services, including ready meals, a deli station, BBQ chicken, weekly specials and value-focused product ranges. As a Retail Manager at Blue Hill International Pty Ltd T/A IGA Express, you will be responsible for managing store operations, stock control, staff supervision, customer service, merchandising, supplier coordination and financial performance.
This position requires strong leadership, commercial judgement and the ability to maintain high retail and service standards. Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Determine the store’s product mix, stock levels and service standards across grocery, deli, ready meals and BBQ chicken categories to meet local customer demand.
* Develop and implement purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies for supermarket and convenience products in line with IGA Express standards and store sales objectives.
* Promote and advertise the store’s goods and services, including weekly specials, local offers and value-focused product ranges, to support customer engagement and repeat business.
* Oversee customer service standards, respond to customer enquiries and complaints, and ensure team members provide accurate product advice and efficient service.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements, supplier orders, sales performance and financial transactions to support effective retail operations.
* Prepare and monitor store budgets, revenue targets, expenses and margin performance, and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
* Manage staff recruitment, induction, rostering, training, performance monitoring and supervision to ensure appropriate coverage during trading hours.
* Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, food safety, hygiene, cash handling, workplace and retail operating requirements.
* Coordinate stock replenishment, visual merchandising and presentation standards to maintain a clean, well-stocked and customer-friendly IGA Express store environment.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage deliveries, resolve stock availability issues and maintain consistent supply of key grocery and convenience lines.
* Review sales trends, wastage, shrinkage and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improved ranging, promotions and store processes.
Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Retail Manager Strong leadership, staff supervision and rostering skills Sound knowledge of retail operations, stock control and merchandising Ability to manage budgets, sales performance and store expenses Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $80,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
