Hose Service Technician – Pirtek Emerald

Pirtek Emerald is seeking a motivated, skilled and safety-focused Hose Service Technician to join our mine site team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a stable, hands-on career with a trusted national brand that provides training, support, and long-term development.
The Role
As a Hose Service Technician, you will deliver on-site service and repair of hydraulic and industrial hoses, fittings, and associated components using a fully equipped mobile service unit.
This is a full-time position working a 7/7 roster based at a mine site in the Central Highlands, with camp accommodation provided while on shift.
Key responsibilities include:
• Servicing, assembling, and installing hydraulic hoses and fittings
• Operating and maintaining a mobile service vehicle safely and professionally
• Providing high-quality customer service and technical advice
• Completing accurate digital service documentation
• Following company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Successful completion of AURTTA012 (Fabrication and Install Fluid Power hose assemblies) Certification
• Experience in mechanical, fitting, hydraulics, or fire suppression systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service capability
• The ability to work independently and safely in a field-based environment
• A current manual driver's licence (LR/MR preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Reliability, attention to detail, and pride in your workmanship
Preferred but not essential:
• Previous mine site or heavy industry experience
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain – required for site access)
• Relevant trade qualification or hydraulic hose assembly competency
