'Mental Health Advocate for Indigenous Australians' As a Mental Health Advocate for Indigenous Australians, you will play a critical role in promoting culturally responsive care and improving outcomes for Aboriginal consumers and their families. This includes working in partnership with health service staff to ensure that all consumers receive a respectful and culturally appropriate service. A key aspect of this role is supporting the consumer, the family and health service staff in accessing other services relevant to the needs of the person being supported. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and social and emotional wellbeing, as well as effective written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills and a current NSW driver's licence ( P2 acceptable ). You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all consumers receive high-quality care. Your ability to prioritise your workload and plan accordingly will be essential in this role.
