Zenith Cardiology, located in Bundall Gold Coast, is seeking a dedicated cardiac sonographer to join our expanding cardiology practice on a full-time basis.
We provide a combination of mobile and clinic-based investigations; therefore, we seek someone who can independently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms. The number of daily scans fluctuates; you could expect between 5 and 10.
Key Responsibilities
* A combination of mobile and clinic-based investigations.
* Independently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
* Fit Holter monitors and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors (training available).
* Work closely with our cardiologists to interpret echocardiograms and provide detailed and timely reports using a streamlined reporting system.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
* Ensure the highest standards of patient care, comfort, and safety during procedures.
* Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functionality.
* Participate in continuous professional development, participate in quality audit with Head Sonographer, and stay up to date on the latest advancements in cardiac imaging.
About you
* Relevant qualifications in cardiac sonography.
* Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
* Own professional indemnity insurance.
* A driver's license and daily access to a car.
* Strong clinical skills and experience in performing a range of cardiac ultrasound examinations independently, including stress-echo.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High attention to detail and pride in the accuracy of your work.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous learning.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
