The Role
The Nurse Unit Manager:
• Provides leadership to the Hospital Aged-Care Liaison Team (HALT) & Transitional Care Program (TCP) at the Launceston General Hospital.
• Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within HALT & TCP.
• Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material, and financial resources for service delivery within HALT & TCP.

The Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania''s second largest hospital with a busy elective and emergency service. The LGH works closely with the University of Tasmania and is a major clinical teaching and research centre. The Role
The successful applicant will provide direction and leadership to HALT and TCP services ensuring the standards of patient care are in accordance with relevant legislation, clinical standards and evidence based practice.
You will need
* Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge and experience relevant to HALT and TCP.
* Demonstrated strong leadership, decision making skills and business acumen.
* Personal qualities will include resilience, initiative and the ability to build productive networks.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.

Salary
$122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
