Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, repair, and service power steering systems on heavy vehicles, including trucks and buses.
* Perform on-vehicle testing and fault diagnosis of steering gears and pumps.
* Remove, rebuild, and replace steering components as necessary.
* Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
* Proven experience as a licensed automotive mechanic, preferably with heavy vehicles.
* Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Valid Australian driver's licence; HR or MC licence is advantageous.
* Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
