Coordinator, Student Progression – Job Description
Term: Fixed-term, full-time until 30 June 2027.
Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available).
Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading.
Open to: Applicants with unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Indigenous Australians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing team to support students' academic success and ensure compliance with the National Code for international students. Drive proactive monitoring, timely interventions, and innovative solutions while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across the university. Provide expert advice on policy and legislation, manage resources, and champion a student‐focused approach to service delivery.
Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in leading client service operations within an education environment.
* Experience leading a team with responsibility for effective service delivery, workload management, career planning, development, and performance expectations.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, including interpretation of policy, compliance, legislative, and regulatory documents.
* Ability to identify opportunities and build a culture committed to student success and continuous improvement.
* Proficient in compiling complex reports with relevant analyses, drawing data from a variety of sources, and presenting them to a highly educated audience.
* Capability to provide specialised advice, manage complex and sensitive matters, interpret policies and guidelines, and prepare professional communications for a wide range of stakeholders.
* Strong collaborative skills, building and maintaining relationships across staff, colleagues, networks, and external bodies.
