Position OverviewWe are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waiters to join our front-of-house team in delivering high-quality dining experiences. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring efficient table service, maintaining presentation standards, and providing attentive customer care across all service periods. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and a genuine passion for customer service. You will work closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Prepare and set up dining areas to reflect the café's high standards, ensuring tables are clean, organised, and visually inviting.
* Greet and seat guests in a warm and professional manner, presenting menus and providing a welcoming dining experience.
* Take accurate food and beverage orders, including coffee and brunch items, and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and barista team.
* Coordinate closely with kitchen and coffee staff to ensure timely service of meals and beverages.
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all service areas in line with the café's quality and hygiene standards.
* Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including seasonal dishes and specialty coffee offerings.
* Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring attention to detail and presentation.
* Attend to customer needs efficiently, including dietary requirements and special requests.
* Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and organised dining environment during busy service periods.
* Process payments accurately and complete end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily offerings.
* Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations in accordance with hospitality standards.
Qualifications:
* Must have diploma in hospitality.
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Waiter or in relevant role
* Previous experience in a wait staff role is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and wine pairing is a plus.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
