About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) services. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SMSF legislation and best practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
The role involves managing a portfolio of SMSF and business clients, developing and mentoring a team to deliver exceptional service, and driving strategic insights and compliance outcomes in the SMSF space.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and train accountants in your team to ensure high-quality work delivery.
* Prepare and lodge SMSF annual returns and regulatory reporting.
* Provide strategic advice on SMSF investment and administration.
* Assist clients with the establishment of SMSFs.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in SMSF legislation and best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a public practice accounting firm, with a focus on SMSFs, compliance, and advisory services.
* Proven client communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients across a range of accounting and tax matters.
* Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns, and BAS end-to-end at a high standard, with minimal review required.
* A moderate to high level of technical tax and compliance knowledge (e.g., Div 7A, GST, CGT, income tax legislation), and the ability to explain these clearly and simply to clients.
* Experience in training and reviewing the work of junior team members, including tax returns, BAS, tax planning reports, and advisory deliverables.
* A solid understanding of business advisory and tax planning strategies, including structuring advice, capital gains tax, small business concessions, and wealth-building strategies for SMSF and SME clients.
* Strong working knowledge of BGL and Xero.
