We are seeking a proven Business Development Manager (Melbourne ) for one of our clients who is a leader in the Wholesale Timber market segment in Australia.
About Us
Our client is a specialist wholesales timber producer and distributor to key market segments – Merchants (Independent and Large Retail) and Large Residential Commercial Builders.
Responsibilities
The position reports directly to the General Manager and will be crucial in growing the company's market share within the local and targeted markets. Strategic growth in product delivery is essential and aligned to the company's strategic objectives. You will -
* Ensure a targeted market strategy is in place and deliver on this strategy
* Develop and execute a business plan tailored across the Melbourne market
* Be aware competing product and competitor offerings
* Provide detailed reports with market insights and timelines
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Wholesale Timber market and proven networks, skills and experience in a similar role. You will possess -
* Ability to develop and initiate strategic commercial sales plans
* Successful track record in sales growth, short term and mid-long sales cycles
* Possess high level communication, personal presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Knowledge of industrial and commercial wholesale timber supply chain processes
* Excellent network of relevant industry contacts across targeted markets and clients
* Competitive salary – Base, FMCV (EV), Super and Bonuses
* Travel to meet clients/customers to develop and grow opportunities within Melbourne will be required.

* Location – Head office, Sydney West, role is a work onsite opportunity 5 days per week.
