Job Summary:
As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planning decisions align with the City's strategic objectives and planning framework.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing development applications, from single houses to commercial and tourism projects.
* Reviewing subdivision proposals – residential, rural, and commercial.
* Providing expert advice to developers, government agencies, and the community.
You will drive growth in one of Western Australia's most prominent coastal cities by working closely with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive and analytical approach, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a keen eye for detail and sound judgement.
A successful Planning Officer will work independently and collaboratively as part of the COB team. The role requires relevant experience or qualifications in statutory planning, urban and regional planning, or similar fields.
