We have a relentless focus on achievement, learning and continuous improvement.The OpportunityThe Inventory Controller will be responsible for managing and analysing stock levels to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management within the Distribution Centre. This role involves conducting daily stock checks and cycle counts, investigating and reporting variances, and engaging with stakeholders. Additionally, the Inventory Controller contributes to the implementation and utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and maintains the accuracy and integrity of stock records.Shift: Early start at 4:30AM or Late start at 10:00AM; with one weekend shift per weekWhat You’ll DoManage warehouse stock movements, including stocktake and damage checksMaintain and ensure master data accuracyCheck inbound stock and run cycle counts in SAP for postingPrepare and distribute reports, including top stock discrepancies, month-to-date variance reports, weekly error lists, aged/slow moving/obsolete product reports, and accessory expiry date reviewsAssist in the implementation and usage of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) at Carole ParkAttend and actively contribute to stakeholder meetings, providing insights and updates on inventory issues and improvementsEnsure adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environmentIdentify and implement improvement plans to reduce process inefficiencies and enhance operational efficiencyLeverage best practices from other James Hardie plants to optimize inventory management processesWhat you’ll bringExperience in inventory management or related roles preferably in a similar environmentStrong data analysis skills and familiarity with software such as SAPStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving discrepancies and improving processesProficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysisAttention to detail with a passion for achieving a high level of stock accuracyStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in stakeholder meetingsHighly proactive, takes a hands-on approach, and enjoys working in a team environmentAutonomous and driven, determined to succeed in an ever-changing environmentWorking @ James HardieAt James Hardie, Our People Are At The Centre Of Everything We Do.
