Project Technician – Hobart, Tasmania
Assisting the Project Manager in the delivery of BMS & Security projects, responsible for control systems field commissioning and documentation, PLC software development, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpretation of customer briefs and consultant specifications
* Control system design and documentation
* PLC software and graphics development and system commissioning
* Sales assistance, involving innovative use of latest technology in establishing system design and providing project estimates
* Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met; review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain submittal approval
* Perform bench testing if required and complete field commissioning packages
Key Experience & Capabilities
* Electrical Trade Certificate
* Prior experience in BMS/HVAC and/or Security systems is preferred
* Electrical experience is required
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills desirable
* Involvement in the commissioning of computer‐based controls and security systems – preferred
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Self‐starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
* Has full driving licence and ability to travel when required
