Strategic Planning Opportunities
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Strategic Planner and contribute to shaping the future of our region. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects from concept through to delivery.
Your primary focus will be on managing projects effectively and efficiently, including the preparation and implementation of strategic and statutory plans. You will also engage with the development industry, investors, and the community in relation to strategic planning projects/proposals.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who has a strong understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other relevant legislations. Experience in planning in regional NSW will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading complex projects from concept through to delivery.
* Managing projects effectively and efficiently, including the preparation and implementation of strategic and statutory plans.
* Engaging with the development industry, investors, and the community in relation to strategic planning projects/proposals.
* Understanding the local government environment and the interface with state and federal governments.
* Developing work priorities, including responsibility for project timelines, budgets, and community consultation strategies.
Requirements:
* 4 Year Degree in Planning or related discipline.
* Driver Licence.
* Experience in the assessment and determination of planning proposals, including complex and controversial strategic matters.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Demonstrated skillset in identifying work priorities and applying time management techniques.
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
