About the Role
We are seeking experienced medical professionals to join our team of primary care providers, delivering high-quality services to residents in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
The successful candidate will be employed as a salaried physician with a salary package, working on a 5-day week basis or casually at a competitive rate. You will focus solely on providing primary care services to RACF residents.
Key responsibilities include:
* Taking medical history and conducting clinical examinations
* Coordinating necessary investigations and implementing management plans
* Providing preventive health care and regular reviews and follow-ups with aged care residents
* Contributing to health assessments and medication management for new resident admissions and performing annual health assessments for existing residents
You will collaborate closely with nursing and administration staff, who will support you with administrative and IT tasks, allowing you to focus on clinical duties and patient care.
All after-hours calls from RACFs will be directed to our medical deputising service, which will take the calls and provide advice.
We have arrangements in place with Telecare Specialist Services for our physicians to refer residents to specialist treatment and assessment.
The ideal candidate will possess an unrestricted Vocationally Registered (VR) qualification, preferably FRACGP or FACRRM.
Other requirements include being currently registered with AHPRA and permitted to work in Australia, having professional indemnity insurance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under the guidance of our Senior Medical Officer.
