The Opportunity
We are an established structural steel fabrication company delivering structural steel packages across a range of construction projects. Due to ongoing workload, we are seeking a Civil Draftsperson to support site and foundation-related civil documentation within a steel construction environment.
You will be responsible for preparing and coordinating civil and site-related drawings that support steel fabrication and erection, working closely with engineers, project teams, and senior detailers. This role is civil-focused, with long-term stability and clear processes in place.
Key Responsibilities – Civil Draftsperson
· Prepare and update site and civil drawings, including site layouts, access and laydown plans, and basic levels/grades
· Produce foundation and set-out drawings, including footings, anchor bolts, cast-in plates, and embedded items based on engineer mark-ups
· Coordinate civil information with survey, structural, and architectural documentation
· Manage drawing revisions, redlines, transmittals, and document control processes
· Support basic quantity take-offs related to civil works (e.g. concrete and embed schedules)
· Respond to civil-related drawing queries from site and workshop teams
About You
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field (or
higher).
· Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering drafting, particularly in site works and foundations
· Strong AutoCAD skills with the ability to interpret engineering mark-ups and manage revisions
· Well organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working to deadlines
· Confident communicator, able to work with engineers and construction teams
