This is a newly created part‐time opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of the group tax function across Australia and the UK. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will act as the central point of contact for all tax matters, ensuring compliance, managing risk and providing advice to senior stakeholders.
The role is offered on a part‐time basis, roughly 25 hours per week, with full flexibility on how hours are structured across the week, with a minimum of one day per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
* Provide advice to leadership on tax risk, exposure and strategic considerations
* Oversee cross border transactions and transfer pricing
* Review commercial agreements to assess tax implications
* Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors and revenue authorities
* Monitor legislative developments and assess business impact
* Forecast tax liabilities and support broader financial planning
* Identify process improvements and strengthen internal tax controls
This role is focused on compliance and advisory responsibilities, with transactional activity managed separately.
About You
* 7+ years of tax experience gained in Big 4, mid tier or a complex corporate environment
* Professionally qualified CA, CPA, CTA, Masters of Tax
* Strong technical capability across direct and indirect taxes
* Confident operating independently and engaging with senior stakeholders
* Comfortable in a fast‐paced and evolving environment
