General Manager

Reporting to

Duties

People Management & Leadership

• Lead, train and manage staff.
• Plan human resources and recruit employees.
• Evaluate and manage employee performance and productivity.

Operations

• Oversee daily business operations.
• Ensure operations are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant laws.
• Identify and execute operational efficiencies.
• Oversee support functions of the business.

Sales, Business Development and Customer Service

• Oversee daily sales operations to maintain and grow revenue and manage relationships with existing customers.
• Develop and implement growth strategies.
• Identify and execute growth opportunities.

Business Planning & Control

• Manage all facets of the Company's financial performance and business planning.
• Report on all facets of business performance and present to management and the Board.
• Be accountable for the financial and operating performance of the business.
• Build and develop business procedures to ensure corporate governance and strong internal control.

Other

• Other duties as deemed necessary by the Company from time to time.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

• Experience managing and leading teams in an operational environment, including identifying and implementing safety procedures.

Desirable

• Previous experience in waste/recycling transport or similar/related industry such as broader waste management or transport.
• Degree or other qualifications in business, management, finance and/or logistics.

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year

Work Authorisation: Australia (preferred)
