This is a rare opportunity to lead a purpose-driven organisation delivering impact across: Child, Youth and Family Services Aged Care and Volunteer Programs Child Care, OOSH & Vacation Care This role reports directly to the Management Committee and is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial stewardship of the organisation. This organisation sits at the heart of its community. The incoming CEO will shape its next chapter, strengthening sustainability, workforce capability and service impact across multiple vulnerable cohorts. This is a leadership opportunity where governance integrity, community connection and strategic growth intersect. The successful candidate will represent the organisation in sector forums and relevant community meetings, build and maintain strong partnerships across government, community and funding bodies and strengthen the organisation’s reputation and community impact. The Opportunity This is not just an operational leadership role, it is a community leadership position. The CEO will drive strategic direction, strengthen funding sustainability, ensure regulatory excellence, and build a culture that places vulnerable children, families and older Australians at the centre of decision making. You will lead three diverse program streams, each with its own regulatory framework and workforce challenges, requiring a highly capable and adaptable executive. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the organisation’s strategic plan Inform and advise the Management Committee on operational, financial and risk matters Ensure strong governance practices and transparent reporting Monitor and respond to legislative and sector reform changes Present high-level reports and performance insights to the Committee Provide executive oversight across all service streams Drive workforce strategy including recruitment and capability building Oversee HR frameworks, industrial compliance and organisational culture Lead policy development aligned to best practice and regulatory standards Lead funding strategy and oversee preparation of funding submissions Ensure accurate acquittals, audits and regulatory reporting Strengthen financial sustainability and revenue diversification Oversee asset management and long-term financial planning Ensure compliance across: Child Safe Organisation Standards Aged Care regulatory frameworks Early Childhood & OOSH requirements WH&S and EEO legislation Lead audit preparation and risk mitigation strategies The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a hands-on, values-led executive who brings: Proven experience in senior leadership within Not-for-Profit, community services, Early Childhood or Aged Care Demonstrated experience reporting to a Board or Management Committee Strong understanding of governance, compliance and regulatory frameworks Experience securing and managing government funding Financial literacy and oversight of audits and acquittals Exceptional stakeholder engagement and partnership development capability Strategic thinking balanced with operational execution Most importantly, you are a purpose-driven leader who understands the responsibility of leading services that support children, families and older members of the community.
