Imagine getting the opportunity to live and work in the tropical West Kimberley, with the benefits of an extra day off each fortnight.The Opportunity:We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to join our Resources Catering Team on a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) basis, from Broome or Derby to our Village located mid-way between Broome and Derby, in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. Working 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off Roster, DIDO from Broome or Derby.Competitive Salary of $115,000 + Superannuation & Local Living Retention Bonuses. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all safety and quality processes are followed and exceed customer expectations in regard to a healthy and delicious food offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements. What we are looking for: Australian Trade Certification or Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (essential).Experience as a Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).Excellent customer service.High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience.Experience in a mining village operation preferred but all professional kitchen experience considered.Ability to work to client expectations.Experience driving a safe and productive work culture.Creative periodical menu planning and implementation.Training a development of existing kitchen staff.Strong food safety and HACCP knowledge.Able to work a flexible roster.Current Police Clearance or willing to obtain one.
