Senior Occupational Therapist in Cairns QLD
Job Description:
This is a senior-level occupational therapist position available in Cairns, Queensland. The successful candidate will work independently and exercise independent judgment on routine matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver high-quality services to individuals, families, and communities.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide expert advice.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve client-centered outcomes.
4. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research and development.
5. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and referrers.
6. Supervise allied health assistants as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant tertiary degree in occupational therapy or higher qualification.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including effective communication, negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
* Innovative approach to client service delivery and organizational improvement.
* Ability to demonstrate and encourage teamwork.
* Strong customer and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Current Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening) certification.
