About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance Claims Officer (AO4) to join a public sector finance team on a long-term contract basis, commencing mid-February 2026. This role provides essential financial and administrative support within a business operations finance unit, with a primary focus on the processing and administration of infrastructure damage claims. The role reports directly to a Senior Finance Advisor and works closely with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Assess and process infrastructure damage claims in line with established guidelines. Prepare costing breakdowns and administer debt to relevant stakeholders. Manage ICT devices and accounts under BillView arrangements. Prepare and submit end-of-month accruals and journals. Manage aged debt write-offs in accordance with policy. Maintain accurate tracking registers using Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. Provide general finance and administrative support as required. About You Experience in finance administration, claims processing, or debt management. Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess and interpret financial information. Confidence working with Excel and maintaining registers and trackers. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders. Experience in a government or large organisational environment (highly regarded). What’s in it for You? 2-year contract commencing mid-February 2026. $60.05 per hour superannuation. Up to 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Standard business hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm.
