Mental Health Support Worker
Join our team of dedicated professionals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental illness. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering individual assistance to support consumers' recovery goals.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires working a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays. Shifts are spread across three periods: 6:30am-3:00pm, 2:30pm-11:00pm, and 10:30pm-7:00am.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver individualised support to consumers to promote their recovery and well-being.
* Monitor and review consumer recovery plans in partnership with clinical leads, carers, family members and community organisations as appropriate.
* Promote positive self-care strategies, enhance social and daily living skills, increase vocational capacity and support community integration.
* Complete risk assessments and safety planning activities for consumers engaged with the service.
Essential Criteria:
* Availability to work AM & PM shifts between Monday to Friday.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Peer Mental Health, Mental Health or Community Services or related field or equivalent.
* At least two years of experience working with consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.
* NW full Driver's License.
* Understanding of the Principles of Recovery-Oriented Mental Health Practice.
* Demonstrated ability to develop Individual Support Plans and utilise outcome measures.
