Category Manager – Modular Belting

BMA Belting is seeking an experienced Category Manager – Modular Belting to represent and champion our modular belting range across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
This is a senior commercial role suited to a driven professional with strong technical and market knowledge of materials handling, food production and conveyors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the category through an established sales team and distribution network, positioning Modutech as a preferred modular belting partner across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the category manager for Modutech's modular belting range across ANZ and the Pacific Islands
* Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with Modutech's global objectives
* Support, train, and enable the existing sales team and distributor partners to grow modular belting sales
* Provide technical and application expertise to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
* Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities within key industries
* Drive product positioning, pricing strategies, and competitive differentiation
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams on product launches, promotions, and value propositions
* Build strong relationships with key accounts, OEMs, and strategic partners
* Represent BMA Belting and Modutech at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as required
About You
* Proven experience as a Category Manager, Product Manager, or Technical Sales Manager within conveyor belting, conveyors, or related industrial or plastic products
* Strong understanding of plastics, conveyors, belting applications and end-user industries (e.g. food processing, packaging, logistics, materials handling)
* Demonstrated ability to influence and lead through sales teams and distributor networks
* Commercially astute with strong analytical and strategic planning skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
* Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable working autonomously across multiple regions
* Willingness to travel across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands
