The primary purpose of the Agile Project Manager role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of continuous improvement streams of work, as well as complex projects, within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
* Build and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right tasks.
* Build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders playing varied roles in the delivery process.
* Organise and lead program increment (or big room) planning sessions to align teams on objectives, priorities and dependencies.
* Drive the evolution of product and technology delivery practices across the business, and further develop existing frameworks to improve outcomes.
* Define objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables at a sprint and/or project level.
* Work closely with Product Owners and teams to ensure backlog items are well defined, prioritised and progressing efficiently through the delivery cycle.
* Coordinate and communicate progress to stakeholders, team members, and leadership.
* Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure their work meets project requirements and timelines.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to financial services.
ABOUT YOU
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* Experience and certification in one or more project management methodologies.
* At least 3 years' experience facilitating agile teams delivering continuous improvement, as well as managing complex IT projects, including project planning, scheduling, risk management, and budgeting.
* Strong communication skills to convey delivery and project details, updates, and progress to stakeholders, team members, and senior management.
* Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Trello, to track and monitor progress and deliverables.
* Ability to identify and manage risks, including technical, financial, and resource-related risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate requirements, scope, and constraints, and identify potential areas of improvement or optimisation.
* Strong business acumen, financial services domain knowledge is a plus.
* Decisiveness and ability to make tough decisions when necessary.
