As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the primary purpose of the Mental Health Clinician role is to provide high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health services to clients. This includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support for individuals experiencing mental health issues, with a focus on promoting mental well-being and recovery.

Duties

* Complete intake with high-risk/complex Clients assessed to be suitable for the programs.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
* Ensure assessments (screening, risk, intake, ATOMIC, and IUIH Social Health Care Pathway) are completed with clients using the designated tools and practice approach.
* Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
* Provide clinical support to Care Coordinators.

Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine is encouraged.

Desired Skills And Experience

Required

* Bachelor of Psychology.
* Minimum of 5 years professional experience in providing support and case coordination to Clients with complex mental health presentations.

AND

* Demonstrated ability to apply a high level of practice judgement when working with clients in setting and achieving goals.
* Ability to work with a culturally and socially diverse group of clients, and to apply a culturally responsive framework to guide interventions, with the support of staff and management.
* Ability to work with diverse people and presentations in providing case managed, recovery-oriented supports.
* Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple programs in providing access to holistic care for clients, particularly integrating internal and external supports.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to vulnerability, disengagement, and intergenerational trauma of client group.
* Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of direction and to effectively communicate with and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and to contribute to the development of creative and innovative services.

Additional Requirements

* National Police Certificate.
* Driver's Licence.
* AHPRA Registration.
* Evidence of Work Rights.
* Medicare provider Number (where relevant).
* Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
* Travel to work in the community on a regular basis.

Preferred

* Post graduate qualifications in mental health.
* Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Previous experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service.
