Mannion Lawyers
is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Solicitor to join our professional staff on a full‑time basis, supervising and guiding a small team while carrying a minimal caseload of your own.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Create and update intake forms, client instruction sheets, checklists and procedures for Family Law file management.
* Supervise and guide solicitors, recent graduates and PLT students in best practice Family Law matters.
* Negotiate parenting, property and estate dispute matters to successful resolution.
* Manage varied caseload with competing deadlines and priorities across multiple matter types.
* Communicate with and represent diverse clients affected by various circumstances, ensuring legal concepts are clearly understood.
* Provide or guide staff in providing succinct, accurate and current verbal and written legal advice to clients.
* Prepare or oversee preparation of Consent Orders, Applications, Responses, Probate documents and Deeds.
* Attend or guide staff in attending conferences, mediations, First Returns, Directions, Interim and Final Hearings.
* Convert new clients through initial conferences and network to generate new business for firm growth.
* Deliver professional and empathetic client support through emotionally charged decision‑making processes with a collaborative approach.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Family Law (post admission), or Accredited Specialist in Family Law.
* Current admission to practice as a solicitor in NSW is required at application.
* Excellent written skills for drafting clear correspondence, position papers, and court documents.
* Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills for networking and client management.
* Time management skills and comfort working under pressure with conflicting priorities and competing deadlines.
* Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work autonomously and guide team with a focus on best practice.
* Familiarity with client management software, lead generation tools, calculating settlement figures, and preparation of chronologies.
* An innovative and open‑minded approach to continuous improvement.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
