The Role
We're looking for a skilled Database Officer to help manage the systems and data that underpin our fundraising success.
In this vital role, you'll be responsible for data and gift processing, database maintenance, and reporting across multiple fundraising programs. You'll work closely with a passionate and high-performing fundraising team to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and exceptional donor care.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Manage day-to-day database operations within Blackbaud CRM (or similar).
* Process donations and gifts, ensuring accurate entry, batching, receipting, and reconciliation.
* Maintain data integrity and privacy compliance across all donor records.
* Prepare reports, queries, and data extracts to support fundraising campaigns.
* Work with internal teams and suppliers on segmentation, targeting, and campaign data needs.
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Provide training and support to staff to ensure effective use of the database.
Your Profile
* Experience using a fundraising or CRM database, ideally Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge.
* Strong data management skills - imports, exports, queries, and data manipulation.
* Experience in gift processing, including cash donations, tribute gifts, and bequests.
* Proficiency in Excel and Power Query.
* Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
* A collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
* An interest in supporting work that drives better outcomes in health and research.
