About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Key Account Manager to join our Sales Team in Melbourne. As a Key Account Manager at CHG-MERIDIAN ("CHG"), you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships and for driving new customer acquisitions within Australia, relating to large enterprises and corporate customers headquartered in Victoria.
Your key responsibilities will include understanding a customer's technology and equipment acquisition strategy and collaborating with our internal solutions team to deliver a suitable finance offer to suit the customer's needs. With a proven track record in delivering results, you will enjoy building long‑standing relationships with customers and possess strong problem‑solving skills. You will also demonstrate effective planning, apply innovative thinking, and relish working in a diverse and fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish a customer portfolio of long‑term large enterprise and government customers in Australia.
* Always be seeking to acquire new customers and expand share of wallet with your current customer base.
* Identify, develop, evaluate, and pursue leads and opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline of sales.
* Develop a sales strategy for your region that aligns with CHG's growth objectives.
* Confidently engage and present CHG's product offering to key decision makers, such as procurement managers, Heads of department or C‑Suite, of target customers.
* Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders of the technology and equipment supply chain, including OEMs, distributors, MSPs and resellers.
* Maintain accurate customer records in CRM and other relevant systems.
* Own various general responsibilities as requested and assigned.
* Minimum of 3 – 5 years of B2B sales experience required.
* Ability to drive new opportunities with new customers; through prospecting, outbound calls, virtual selling and video calls.
* Communicate, create interest and carry strategic discussions with customers.
* Have a proactive mindset, exhibit initiative and self‑direction.
* Work in a team environment and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
* Demonstrate strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
* Strong willingness to learn and be open to challenges.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
* Well organised and detail‑oriented.
