About the Opportunity
The food services assistant works to the highest quality standards, ensuring all foods are handled and prepared according to the Food Safety Program.
Responsibilities
* Handling, sorting and distributing food items
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the main kitchen and serveries
* Have a clear understanding of the dietary needs of residents
* Understand the different textures and plating methods for textured modified foods
* Assist residents with their requests
* Enhancing the dining experience in our dining rooms
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* A Food Handling Qualification (desired, but not essential)
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* A respectful and friendly approach to residents and colleagues
* Commitment to maintaining high‐quality service and standards
Availability
* Flexibility to work across a 7‐day roster
* Shifts:
o 6:45am – 2:45pm
o 3:00pm – 8:00pm
* Part‐time roster example:
o Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
o Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
