What You'll Be Doing
The Assistant in Nursing works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and supports the nursing team in the delivery of person-centered care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve people-focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
* Current Health Service Assistant Certificate III (Aged Care) or equivalent, or have recent equivalent experience or have completed 1 or more year's training as an undergraduate nursing student.
* Demonstrated understanding of delegation and ability to work within a plan of care under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
* Demonstrated ability to provide person-centered care in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in a multi-disciplinary team context.
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including IT, written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrated capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a professional manner.
* Evidence of participation in personal development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
