About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Policy Advisor. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with stakeholders and contribute to the development of policy positions that support the delivery of quality aged care services across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of policy activities and program of works, including specialist functions.
* Prepare high-quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy discussion papers, or submissions.
* Analyse and interpret policy proposals and research findings regarding their relevance to our members.
* Engage with stakeholders to discuss their needs relative to policy or legislative changes.
* Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, law, or public policy would be highly desirable.
* Understanding of aged care policy, health policy, and/or disability policy.
* Knowledge of the Australian political system and its policy processes.
* Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
* Ability to interpret and analyse complex material, such as legislation and quantitative data.
