Business Development Manager
About the Role:
* This position involves achieving market acceptability for Amphenol's products, while providing technical leadership to OEMs, distributors, and end-users.
* The primary customer industries are Industrial, Automotive Aftermarket, Oil & Gas, Mining, Defence, and Automation and Control.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Drive sales and business strategies at OEMs, distribution channel partners, and end-users.
2. Build strong relationships with existing customers and develop new business to achieve annual growth targets.
3. Present Amphenol products, applications, and technology through virtual presentations and hands-on demonstrations.
4. Make direct OEM/MRO sales calls, joint calls with Representatives and Distributors to meet defined budgets.
5. Provide forecasts and budget updates to management as required.
6. Follow up on all leads and quotations within assigned territory and/or account portfolio.
7. Develop and implement effective Mutual Action Plans with target OEMs and assigned distributor branch locations.
Requirements:
* Educated in Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering degree.
* A minimum of three years of interconnect or electrical, power or instrumentation cable or product sales experience is preferred.
* Proficient in using a computer and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Problem solver; Strong influencing and negotiations behaviours.
* Strong business ethics and integrity.
Working Conditions:
This role may require up to 20% travel by airplane and overnight stays. A valid driver's license and ability to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time are also required.
