Your new role
Inyour new role as an Office Administrator, you will join a busy constructionsupplier in the southern suburbs. You will be a key support within the team,with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintain strict adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
2. Manage daily staff attendance records and ensure visitor logs are accurately kept.
3. Deliver visitor and customer inductions and provide general reception support, including phone and front‑of‑house duties.
4. Process purchase orders for branch supplies and services.
5. Coordinate supplier invoice handling, including compiling, filing, and forwarding approved documents to Head Office.
6. Organise branch mail requirements, petty cash claims, and general banking activities.
7. Prepare weekly wages and attendance summaries for approval, ensuring all documentation is compliant with company policies.
8. Oversee branch stationery and promotional stock levels, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate inventory.
9. Manage customer equipment returns, issuing return notes, updating stock levels, and preparing shortage invoices where required.
10. Support debtor management by monitoring overdue accounts, updating credit records, and liaising with customers and Head Office.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:
11. Strong organisational and time‑management skills to handle varied administrative tasks, competing priorities and strict deadlines.
12. Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities to interact confidently with staff, suppliers and clients at all levels.
13. High attention to detail and accuracy when managing records, financial documents, returns, and compliance‑related activities.
14. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team in a fast‑paced environment.
15. Proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office, along with the capacity to learn internal platforms such as Axapta.
16. A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the confidence to manage issues, support branch operations and uphold safety and procedural standards.
